For the first time ever in India, MTV & IN.com is merging television programming and internet to bring a live 24X7 show called 'CRUNCH'. The show will be aired on MTV everyday at 8 pm and will be Live 24X7 on crunch.in.com. 20 inhabitants, two in each room (termed as SPACE), will fight for the survival in this first of its kind 24 X 7 reality show! But, what's the CRUNCH? Every day, the walls of each space moves in...to crunch the space, the comfort and also the morale of its inhabitants. As the audience you get to decide whether they stay or leave by voting for the most popular space of your choice. Each second of every day for the next 30 days will be available live on crunch.in.com. Who will survive this crunch? Who will be eliminated? Who will keep us glued 24 X 7?
The Task
Inhabitants will be given tasks that will need to be performed. Performance of tasks will be related to various rules and regulations specific to the particular task. These rules and regulations must be followed as suggested by the producers.
The Crunching Action
All items within the Space (furniture, utensils etc.) are moveable, and choice of items to be discarded from the Space during a "CRUNCH" situation must be made by the participants, keeping their comfort and possibility to advance in the show, in mind. During the "CRUNCH" time, inhabitants must make sure that they are within the safety zone marked at the center of the Space.
The Elimination
Every Space will be treated as 1 (one) unit when it comes to eviction. All 10 Spaces will be subject to the eviction process or "vote out." Vote outs will happen twice every week. The eviction is decided purely on the public vote and their decision is final. When a room is voted out, inhabitants must leave immediately. Results for the eviction will be displayed on a screen, present inside every room. When the "evicted" display flashes on the screen within a particular Space, inhabitants must leave through the 'production access' door in the room. On the day of eviction, all inhabitants must have their bags packed and ready. Notice for packing bags will be displayed on the screen within the Space.
Evictions
Evictions in Crunch happen through the online voting process. As the viewer, you decide as to Inhabitants of which Space get to remain on the show. Each viewer is allowed a maximum of 100 votes per day to save their Space(s) of choice from evictions. Every room will be subject to the voting process. Evictions happen twice every week. When Inhabitants of a Space are voted out, they promptly have to clear their Space.
